Avery J. Johnson

The biggest badest cigar-chompinest Marine there ever there was. Johnson always presented himself as a great character and a real hard-ass in the UNSC. He represented how awesome a regular person could be. Between destroying legions of the Covenant with his bare hands, surviving all of the Halo games right up until 3, and being awesome even in the complete and total vacuum of space.

Johnson is actually a character in the Chaos Chronicles, despite being set 700 years in the future. I had to do some real reaching on explaining why he was there, but I feel that I got it done. Johnson's character DEMANDS that he be in any situation where his badassitude can defuse an otherwise horrible situation.
